Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Network Engineer to join our IT Services Network Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SDWAN, Meraki, and general networking principles. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining our corporate network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage SDWAN solutions to enhance network performance and reliability.
Configure and maintain Meraki network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.
Implement and enforce network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and threats.
Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users regarding network-related issues. Upskill the IT Service team.
Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends to ensure the network infrastructure remains current and efficient.

Essential skillsets

Strong understanding of SDWAN technologies and their implementation.
Extensive experience with Meraki network devices and management tools.
In depth knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and wireless technologies. Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP/IPAM, VPN, etc.).
Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Proven experience in network engineering.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Desired skillsets

Familiarity with security principles and practices, including firewalls and intrusion detection.
Experience with other networking solutions and platforms.
Relevant certifications such as Juniper JNCP-Ent, Cisco CCNP (Routing Switching), or Cisco CCNP (Security).
Experience with VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions.
Familiarity with cloud networking and security solutions.
