Firmware Test Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Embedded Firmware Testing Intern to join our engineering team. The intern will work closely with our firmware development and testing teams to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of embedded systems. This role offers hands-on experience in testing embedded firmware for cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

*Key Responsibilities:*-

Assist in developing test plans and test cases for embedded systems and firmware.- Perform manual and automated testing on embedded systems across various platforms.- Analyze and debug firmware issues, reporting defects clearly and concisely.- Support the development of testing scripts, automation tools, and frameworks for testing firmware.- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of products.- Review and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and code to design appropriate tests.- Execute functional, stress, and performance tests on embedded systems.- Document testing procedures, results, and feedback for continuous improvement.- Help identify areas for improvement in testing efficiency and automation.

*Qualifications:*-

Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.- Basic understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware.- Familiarity with firmware testing tools, protocols (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI), and embedded software.- Basic coding skills in C/C++, Python, or other scripting languages.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

*Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills):*-

Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.- Exposure to automated testing frameworks.- Understanding of debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
