Job Description

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and oversee all accounting operations within the organization.

As a key player in our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the overall financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving the financial health of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and team management, with the ability to work cross-functionally to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting & Analysis :

- Lead the preparation and review of timely and accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual), including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Oversee financial statement consolidation, intercompany transactions, and elimination entries.

- Review financial results and variance analysis, providing insightful commentary to senior management and other stakeholders.

Month-End and Year-End Close:

- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met, and all accounting entries are accurately recorded.

- Coordinate with other departments (e.g , operations, sales, etc. ) to ensure all financial transactions are captured accurately and timely.

- Prepare and review account reconciliations for key general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and safeguard company assets.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.

- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during the annual audit process, preparing audit schedules and facilitating their requests for documentation.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

- Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback to team members, including performance reviews and training.

- Ensure team members have the necessary resources and support to execute their roles effectively.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation and review of the annual budget and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals.

- Provide financial analysis and insights to management to help guide strategic decision-making, including revenue forecasts, cost management, and profitability analysis.

Cash Management & Treasury:

- Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring daily cash positions and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.

- Manage banking relationships and oversee banking transactions, including wires and transfers.

Tax Compliance & Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with the preparation of tax returns, including sales tax, VAT, and income tax.

- Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure proper tax planning and filing.

Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implement automation, and improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

- Drive continuous improvements in accounting workflows, systems, and technology to support scaling the business.

Ad-Hoc Financial Support:

- Provide financial support for ad-hoc projects, financial modeling, and special analyses as required by the senior management team.

- Support strategic business initiatives and corporate development activities with financial insights and due diligence.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

- Experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, or a similar senior accounting role is essential.

- Previous experience in industries such as manufacturing, technology, pharmaceutical, or similar sectors is highly preferred.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or CA (Chartered Accountant) are highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, or other accounting standards relevant to the industry.

- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g , SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills required).

- Experience with financial reporting tools, ERP systems, and data analytics is a plus.

Leadership:

- Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a high-performing accounting team.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with various levels of the organization.

- Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external auditors
