Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Develop and execute HR strategies that support the factorys goals and objectives.
    • Partner with senior management and department heads to align human capital with operational needs.
    • Lead HR initiatives to foster a positive, productive, and compliant workplace culture.
  2. Talent Acquisition:
    • Oversee the recruitment and staffing strategies, ensuring the factory attracts and retains top talent for operational and technical roles.
    • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and provide support for recruitment campaigns.
    • Ensure the hiring process aligns with labor regulations and industry standards.
  3. Employee Development & Training:
    • Create and manage programs for employee skill development, training, and career growth.
    • Assess training needs in collaboration with department managers and implement necessary programs to enhance performance and productivity.
    • Support leadership development programs for supervisors and managers to improve team leadership capabilities.
  4. Employee Relations & Engagement:
    • Act as a liaison between management and employees, addressing concerns and fostering a collaborative work environment.
    • Implement initiatives to improve employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.
    • Resolve conflicts and manage employee grievances effectively, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  5. Performance Management:
    • Oversee the performance appraisal process to ensure fair and consistent evaluations of employees’ performance.
    • Implement corrective action plans for underperforming employees while recognizing high achievers.
    • Work with managers to create and maintain clear job expectations and performance standards.
  6. Compensation & Benefits Management:
    • Develop competitive compensation structures based on market data, company budget, and legal compliance.
    • Oversee the benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
    • Manage payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness of compensation.
    • Contract Labor Management: Oversee the engagement, compensation, and compliance of contract laborers working at the factory, ensuring they are paid on time and in accordance with the labor laws.
    • Ensure that contract labor agreements are legally compliant and aligned with organizational needs.
    • Conduct regular audits of contract labor payments to ensure they are accurate and fair.
  7. Payroll Management:
    • Manage the payroll process for both permanent employees and contract labor.
    • Ensure that salaries, bonuses, deductions, and benefits are calculated accurately.
    • Salary Checking: Perform regular checks to ensure salary payments are in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Address any discrepancies promptly.
    • Ensure the timely disbursement of salaries, bonuses, and statutory payments (PF, ESI, etc.) for all employees, including contract labor.
    • Oversee the preparation and filing of statutory returns related to payroll (e.g., Provident Fund, ESI, TDS).
  8. Compliance & Legal Matters:
    • Ensure the factory adheres to labor laws, health and safety regulations, and collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with industrial relations, worker safety standards, and workplace regulations.
    • Update company policies to reflect changes in laws and best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with labor regulations related to contract workers, including minimum wage laws and working hours.
  9. Health & Safety:
    • Work with the safety officer and management to ensure the factory provides a safe and healthy working environment.
    • Implement employee wellness programs and initiatives to reduce workplace injuries and improve overall well-being.
    • Ensure that HR policies align with health and safety protocols and are effectively communicated to employees.
  10. HR Reporting & Analytics:
  • Analyze HR data to make informed decisions on workforce planning, employee turnover, and other HR-related metrics.
  • Report to upper management on HR issues, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee retention and productivity based on data insights.
  1. Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
    • Coordinate with other departments (such as production, logistics, etc.) to ensure that HR objectives align with factory operations.
    • Promote teamwork, communication, and collaboration across all levels of the workforce.
