Job Descriptions :

The Manager - Marketing will be responsible for ensuring:

• A thorough understanding of end users, competitive situation and retail environment, including market research and competitive intelligence.
• Development of the strategic direction for Makita and ongoing support programs to maintain market share and attain future growth.
• Creation of channel distribution strategies, value added programs, and literature to support the salesforce, optimise dealer partnerships and achieve profitable growth.
• Achievement of brand image objectives by effective and creative use of advertising, direct mail, public relations, trade shows and sponsorships.
• Communication with Sales, Logistics/Services, Finance and Management to gain internal cross-functional support for the marketing strategy and business plan (including annual sales, profit and budgets).
• Co-ordination of internal and external resources to ensure activities are optimised and delivered in full and on time to sales force, customers and end users.
• Communication with staff and management on progress against annual sales, profit and budgets and changes to strategy or planned activities.
• To implement, manage and measure cyclical and reactive sales promotions to ensure efficiency of related expenditure.
