At this job of patent drafting and prosecution, with a background in Computer Science, you will play a crucial role in drafting and prosecuting high-quality patent applications for our clients. Your expertise in computer science and understanding of patent laws will be instrumental in ensuring patent drafting and prosecution with the technical and legal accuracy. You will collaborate closely with inventors, patent attorneys, and other stakeholders to capture the essence of innovative ideas and transform them into well-structured patent documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft patent applications related to computer science, software, and technology innovations, ensuring technical precision and legal compliance. Able to handle drafting related to emerging technologies, such as blockchain, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
Review and respond to office actions and providing clear and persuasive arguments to advance patent prosecution. Able to handle US Office actions in overcoming objection related to USC101 and USC103 in such domain.
Conduct thorough prior art searches and analyses to assess patentability and identify potential challenges.
Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and patent attorneys to understand technical concepts and accurately represent them in patent applications.
Stay updated with the latest developments in computer science, software technologies, and patent laws to ensure high-quality drafting.
Maintain organized and accurate records of patent drafts, correspondence, and filings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in patent drafting, with a strong understanding of patent laws and procedures.
Proficiency in drafting patent applications related to software, algorithms, artificial intelligence, and other computer science innovations. Able to enable US drafting requirement with respect to USC101 in such domain.
Proficiency in patent prosecution related to software, algorithms, artificial intelligence, and other computer science innovations. Able to handle US Office actions in overcoming objection related to USC101 and USC103 in such domain.
Familiarity with US, Indian and EPO patent laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with inventors and patent attorneys.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with patent drafting and prosecution in US and EPO.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as blockchain, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
Familiarity with patent databases and research tools.
