Key Responsibilities
Design and Drafting:
Create and modify parametric solid models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
Develop 2D fabrication drawings, layouts (DXF , and BOMs for all sub-assemblies and parts related to process burners and combustion systems.
Prepare detailed drawings, including various views, sectional profiles, hidden lines, and intricate details for manufacturing.
Ensure that designs adhere to project specifications and meet the necessary standards for production.
Perform arithmetic computations using standard formulas and engineering principles for design accuracy.
Collaboration with Engineering Team:
Assist the project engineering team in confirming equipment selection and design specifications.
Review customer mark-up prints, provide feedback, and incorporate design changes as required.
Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure that all drawings are completed and meet project requirements.
Assist in the development of design solutions by providing technical inputs during project execution.
Process & Quality Support:
Ensure accuracy of your own drawings and review the work of other drafters/designers for precision.
Assist in the preparation and revision of design documents and specifications as needed.
Ensure that all drawings meet the required standards, including compliance with relevant codes (ASME B31.1, B31.3 for pressure piping where applicable).
Support shop visits to resolve design-related issues, provide guidance for production, and assist with design changes required during the project execution phase.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare clear, well-documented design files, reports, and technical drawings, utilizing Microsoft Office and other software for design completion and documentation purposes.
Maintain proper filing systems for all drawings and related documentation, ensuring traceability and easy access.
Assist in tracking project milestones and contribute to project status updates.
Educational Background
Associates Degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of experience.
Experience
Minimum 3+ years of experience in drafting/designing, preferably with experience in process burners, combustion equipment, or related industries.
Extensive experience using Autodesk Inventor for creating parametric designs, assemblies, and BOMs.
Familiarity with i-Logic programming and parametric drawing systems.
Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B31.3 for pressure piping is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and other CAD tools for both 2D and 3D design.
Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to interpret and produce technical drawings.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and any web-based design systems for documentation and project tracking.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in drafting, and the ability to manage multiple design revisions.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and production teams.
