Job Summary:
The Head of Finance will oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring effective management of budgets, project costing, cash flow, and compliance. This role is pivotal in driving financial efficiency and profitability while supporting the company's growth in the competitive interior fit-out industry. The Head of Finance will work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and ensure the organization's financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership to set financial goals and long-term plans.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Prepare and monitor budgets for operations, projects, and departments.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize project profitability.
- Review project costing, ensuring accuracy and alignment with pricing strategies.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Manage the company's cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
- Oversee payment schedules, supplier invoices, and project-related disbursements.
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure funding when needed.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with auditors to complete internal and external audits.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the department.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, project management) to align financial practices with operational needs.
Key Qualifications:
- CA
- 12+years of experience in financial management, preferably in construction, interior fit-out, or project-based industries.
- Strong understanding of project costing, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.
