Job Description

As an experienced design leader, youll shape groundbreaking solutions that transform the end-user experience across our entire product ecosystem. Youll guide a dynamic team of designers collaborating with product managers and engineers to build scalable, elegant experiences that work seamlessly across platforms. The ideal candidate combines deep product design expertise with exceptional leadership skills to deliver best-in-class enterprise solutions in our fast-paced environment.

What you ll be doing:

In this role, youll serve as both strategic design leader and hands-on practitioner, guiding a diverse team of Product Designers while actively contributing to design solutions.
Working closely with Product and Engineering leadership, youll help define our product vision and create actionable milestones to achieve it.

Key skills you ll bring to JumpCloud include:

Youre a versatile full-stack designer who shapes end-to-end experiences, combining expertise in information architecture, interaction design, visual design, motion design, and content strategy to transform concepts into polished products
Ability to establish a strong vision and roadmap for JumpCloud solutions
Experience leading a team, including coaching, mentoring, and team development
Effective cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions that scale across responsive web, native desktop, and mobile
Strong attention to detail, and pride of ownership for holistic quality to deliver a simple, loveable, and complete design solution.
Ability to partner effectively with product managers and engineering to evangelize for the user, establish shared vision and roadmap, while partnering effectively to maintain and prioritize a backlog and pipeline
Excellent visual communication skills for crafting user-friendly documentation and UX / engineering enablement tools

Who you are:

You have 8+ years of product design experience within consumer-focused, fast-paced tech companies, delivering customer value quickly to the market.
You have 4+ years managing designers
Youre equally passionate about strategic leadership and hands-on design work, comfortable both developing high-level direction and crafting pixel-perfect layouts in Figma. You thrive on creating practical design solutions while guiding overall product strategy
You are a persuasive communicator and advocate, with a track record for translating vision and strategy into a clear and actionable roadmap
You ve shipped many products over the years and are skilled at balancing both business-to-consumer and business-to-business considerations
You empathize with our unique IT users, understand our technology, and simplify complex functional operations into smooth and intuitive user experiences.
You have experience working in an agile environment with design, product, and engineering leaders to align on product strategy and make them real as a team.
You re a trusted mentor. Your actions, experience, and knowledge are influential to design and designers.
You re passionate about design culture. You are a voice of design principles and methods across all functions and levels of the organization.
