Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of IT to lead the IT infrastructure, systems integration, and software solutions for the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the commercial sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and SAP platforms, along with a deep understanding of the commercial EV vehicle industry. This leadership role is crucial for driving IT strategies, systems integration, and technological innovation to support business objectives and operational excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

• Lead and oversee the IT department, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the overall strategy for EV vehicle production and commercialization.
• Develop and execute the IT strategy, with a focus on PLM, MES, and SAP integration to enhance operational efficiencies, product development, and manufacturing processes.
• Manage cross-functional IT projects and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Provide visionary leadership to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

PLM (Product Lifecycle Management):

• Oversee the implementation and ongoing optimization of PLM systems for managing product data, design, and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure PLM systems effectively support the entire lifecycle of commercial EV vehicles from concept through to production and aftersales service.
• Coordinate with engineering and product development teams to integrate PLM with other enterprise systems (SAP, MES) for efficient data flow and decision-making.

MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems):

• Lead the implementation and integration of MES to optimize production efficiency, quality control, and inventory management in the manufacturing of commercial EVs.
• Ensure real-time data collection, monitoring, and reporting of manufacturing processes and performance, enabling informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with plant managers and operations teams to ensure that MES integrates seamlessly with other systems such as SAP and ERP.

SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products):

• Oversee the implementation and management of SAP ERP systems to streamline business processes, including finance, supply chain, procurement, and inventory management.
• Ensure SAP modules are effectively integrated with PLM, MES, and other systems for end-to-end process optimization.
• Provide leadership in SAP configuration, customization, and ongoing support to meet evolving business needs.

IT Infrastructure & Security:

• Manage IT infrastructure for the entire company, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical systems, including PLM, MES, and SAP platforms.
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Stakeholder Management:

• Partner with senior leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into IT solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Regularly communicate IT performance, progress on key initiatives, and IT-related risks to executive management and key stakeholders.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

• Drive innovation by evaluating new IT tools, technologies, and methodologies, particularly in the EV and manufacturing industries.
• Continuously assess and improve the efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of IT systems and solutions.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelors or masters degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:
• Minimum of 14 years of experience in IT management, with significant experience in PLM, MES, and SAP systems, ideally in a manufacturing or automotive setting.
• Strong understanding of the commercial electric vehicle (EV) industry, including vehicle manufacturing processes, supply chain, and production environments.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional IT projects, ideally in an automotive or manufacturing company.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in or with organizations focused on electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, or automotive manufacturing.
