Manager Quality Control and Quality Assurance

Role & responsibilities

• Ensures safety in the department in day-to-day operations while also focusing on improvements to avoid any harm to people, assets or environment.
• Delivers on the expectations of the Quality department including but not limited to:
• On-time availability of accurate analytical results
• Ensuring all raw materials & finished goods are of the right quality before they are released
• Working closely with Production to minimize product failures & improve RFT (right-first time) while minimizing COPQ (cost of poor quality)
• Ensure proper RCA (root cause analysis) is done for batch failures/customer complaints and CAPA (corrective & preventive actions) are identified & implemented to prevent recurrence
• Works collaboratively with peers to drive site improvements outside of Quality Department
• Ensures processes and procedures needed for the QMS are established, implemented and maintained
• Provides direction, leadership and coaching to QA and QC personnel
• Works closely with NPI (new product introduction) teams to ensure seamless technology transfer of new products to the site.
