Job Description
- Having awareness and understanding on legislative and industry standard requirements as they relate to Industrial / Occupational Hygiene
- Create and implement action plans to ensure the site remains compliant with relevant legislation and standards.
- Working with the Catalyst Technologies site teams to design out health risks.
- Responsible for creation and management all aspects of the Industrial / Occupational Hygiene monitoring and assessment programmes, making recommendations and implementing improvement / exposure reduction action plans. This includes undertaking workplace monitoring including, but not limited to:
- Workplace exposure/air monitoring
- Noise and vibration assessment
- Ergonomic assessment
- Thermal environment assessment
- Local exhaust ventilation assessments
- Other topic comprehensive exposure assessments
- Analysis and presentation of monitoring data and trends to site management
- Management of the COSHH / Qualitative exposure assessment system
- A holder of or working towards the Certificate of operational competence in occupational hygiene (BOHS) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (ABIH) or equivalent qualifications
- Degree in Biomedical science, Chemistry or environmental health based subjects
- Experience of working in an industrial manufacturing environment experience - preferably within chemical, pharmaceutical or petrochemical industry
