The primary goal of QA is to prevent defects and issues from occurring during the production or service delivery process. QA involves the development and implementation of quality management systems, standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to quality requirements. It focuses on the planning, documentation, and process improvement aspects to build quality into the product or service. Key tasks associated with QA include : Establishing quality standards and specifications. Developing quality management procedures. Auditing and assessing processes to ensure they comply with established standards. Conducting training and education to build a culture of quality. Managing documentation and record-keeping for quality-related activities. Implementing preventive actions and process improvements to avoid defects. Quality Control (QC) : QC is a reactive and product-oriented approach to quality management. The primary goal of QC is to identify and rectify defects and non-conformities in the final product or service before it reaches the customer. QC involves inspection, testing, and evaluation of products or services to verify that they meet the predefined quality standards. Key tasks associated with QC include : Inspecting products at different stages of production or service delivery. Testing products to ensure they meet quality requirements. Conducting statistical analysis to assess product quality. Identifying defects and non-conformities and taking corrective actions. Rejecting or reworking products that do not meet quality standards. Ensuring that only products meeting the quality requirements are delivered to customers.
