Expectations out of the role:
Strategy & Direction:
- Acts as a strategic partner on the leadership team and works closely with the team to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
- Define and execute Operational, Marketing, Financial, Sales, Development and Human Resource strategies for various geographies of operations for the organization.
- Define realistic and favourable milestones in agreement with the Managing Director across verticals and various geographies for the organization and work along with the teams to achieve them on time and in full.
- As a leader, ensure the company's business plan and overall strategic vision are applied to the organization's management and leadership.
- Provides mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program. Collaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
- Identify the weak links in the verticals and develop a strategy around it for strengthening it and convert it into a profitable and favourable vertical for the organization.
- Track monitor and own the deliveries of all the business verticals under the group umbrella.
- Make organization vision a base document and align all operational strategies with it in consultation with the Managing Director.
- Work on developing strategies around building cost efficiencies into the system and guide functional teams on continuous improvement model.
- Identify and keep a close tab on future opportunities for the organization and work closely with Managing Director to seal them.
Modelling and setting the company's culture, Values & Behaviour:
- Ensure High Employee Engagement levels and define metrics around it to measure it periodically.
- Create and manage a highly performance driven culture across and maintain high levels of accountability at all levels of employees.
- Introduce effective and transparent rewards and recognition systems for high and strong performers and compatibility process for low / non- performers.
- Model and demonstrate company values and preach them regularly for effective implementation across.
- Coach, lead and manage the senior executive teams with an immense sense of responsibility and add value.
- Ensure effective percolation of behaviours, values and culture through the senior leaders in a prescribed manner to create a valuable workplace.
- Create and manage structured and unstructured periodic and continuous feedback mechanism, handle, and act effectively on important and trending ones to ensure resolution of issues
- Build an open and a transparent culture of communication top - bottom and bottom - top.
- Work autonomously while ensuring Managing Director's expectations are readily met and exceeded.
- Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Building and Leading the Senior Executive Team
- Measuring the efficiency of an organization's operational processes and taking steps to improve them.
- Partnering with other CXO level executives to accomplish short and long-term operational goals
- Empowering the operational team with the leadership and resources they need to successfully complete operations initiatives.
- Coach, mentor and guide the senior leadership team and monitor the progress closely
- Identify the potential misses of milestones proactively and define a customize strategy around it and work along with the senior leaders to ensure contingency management.
- Follow a structured approach in performance monitoring, schedule regular one on one's to create effective tracking and monitoring system.
- Manage expectations and keep effective communication channels across to ensure all support is extended to the senior leaders.
- Encourage and build a strong and a cohesive senior leadership team, play an active role in resolving any differences or contradictions among and keep them working together in a common direction.
- Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company's business plan and overall strategic vision.
- Assist executive team members in creating, growing and building a world class, industry leading organization.
- Empowering the operational team with the leadership and resources they need to successfully complete operations initiatives.
Driving growth in the business:
- Manage and monitor the P&L of the organization closely and work towards keeping the quarterly and the year end results positive.
- Deliver to the expected EBIDTA levels as per the agreement with the Managing Director.
- Careful attention to the design and tracking of financial measures to transition the organization into earnings driven company.
- Implement best in class practices across verticals and business processes to create organization as one of the best among its contemporaries.
- Deliver results which are metric based and measurable, quantify all possible metrics and show QOQ, & YOY results for effective tracking, monitoring, and control.
- Ensure organization is high on compliances and required regulations around the various business verticals.
- Ensuring the CFO/F&A has raised investment and funding for the business in order to facilitate operational growth.
- Developing and controlling all operational budgets to ensure that the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters and to maintain the financial strength of the company.
- Work closely with the Managing Director, CFO, and other key executive team members to drive operational and financial results for the company.
- Developing, and implementing plans for its operational processes, internal infrastructure, reporting systems, and company policies that aim to increase its profitability, growth, and efficiency.
- Encourage and motivate employees at all levels as key company leaders, such as employees at the professional level, managers, and executive leadership team members.
- Establish strategic business relationships with clients, vendors, banks, investors, and all others involved in your business.
You should apply if you have the following :
- Master's degree in Business administration.
- 15+ years of experience managing a complex enterprise's, operations human resources, finance or strategies.
- Ability to make projections three years into the future
- Proficient operational and financial acumen.
- Strong ethical leadership abilities.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Critical thinking and detail oriented outlook
- Should be comfortable working across cross-functional teams/functions
- Strong analytical skills and process orientation
- Self-starter mind set with a strong onus on project ownership
- Strong business and analytical sense with knowledge of different businesses/industries.
