Job Description

Position: Chief Consulting Officer.

Domain: eCommerce.

Total Experience: 15+ years.

Ziffity is looking out for a Chief Consulting Officer (CCO) focused on eCommerce to play a critical role in shaping the company's consulting services, overseeing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of digital transformation and business optimization projects for eCommerce clients.

This position requires a blend of deep industry knowledge, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to enhance client satisfaction, drive growth, and establish the organization as a leader in eCommerce solutions.

Moreover, this role is highly strategic and client-focused, designed to create a high-value consulting offering that enables clients to thrive in a dynamic and competitive eCommerce landscape.

The CCO directly impacts the organization's reputation, client satisfaction, and overall growth in the eCommerce domain.

The key responsibilities are:

Strategic Consulting Leadership.

- Define the vision and strategy for the consulting division to align with the organization's overall goals and growth plans in the eCommerce sector.

- Develop and oversee a roadmap for delivering high-impact consulting solutions that drive revenue growth and position the company as a top consulting partner in eCommerce.

- Collaborate with peers to ensure the consulting strategy supports the organization's product engineering services and technology development initiatives.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor for high-level eCommerce strategy, digital transformation, and technology adoption.

- Understand client business challenges and goals, and customize consulting approaches to help clients achieve measurable success.

- Lead major client engagements and, where necessary, participate directly in strategic discussions to deepen relationships and ensure project alignment.

Service Offering Development and Innovation:

- Oversee the development and refinement of consulting services, ensuring they address current and emerging needs in the eCommerce industry, such as omnichannel strategy, customer experience optimization, and data-driven marketing.

- Continuously analyze eCommerce market trends and customer demands, adjusting consulting offerings to remain competitive and innovative.

- Drive the creation of new frameworks, methodologies, and best practices that enhance the organization's consulting approach and enable repeatable, scalable solutions for clients.

Solution Delivery and Quality Assurance:

- Ensure successful delivery of consulting projects, maintaining a high standard of quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.

- Implement standardized processes and best practices for project management, documentation, and reporting to ensure consistency across engagements.

- Conduct regular reviews of ongoing projects, addressing any delivery risks or challenges to ensure high-quality outcomes that exceed client expectations.

Business Development and Pre-Sales Support:

- Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities, develop tailored proposals, and close key accounts.

- Participate in pre-sales activities, providing technical and strategic insights to potential clients and demonstrating the organization's consulting expertise.

- Build out case studies, success stories, and thought leadership content that illustrates the organization's value proposition and drives new business in the eCommerce space.

Financial Management and Performance Tracking:

- Develop and manage the consulting budget, ensuring the department operates within its means while delivering high-value services.

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for consulting services, such as project profitability, client satisfaction, and retention rates.

- Analyze consulting performance data and client feedback to measure success and refine strategies, optimizing for revenue growth and long-term client relationships.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

- Stay informed about eCommerce trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics that could impact the organization's consulting services.

- Identify competitive differentiators and adjust consulting strategies to maintain a unique position in the eCommerce industry.

- Engage in industry events, webinars, and conferences to represent the company and bring back insights that can enhance consulting practices.

Risk Management and Compliance:

- Ensure consulting projects meet regulatory, security, and privacy standards, especially when handling sensitive client and customer data.

- Anticipate risks associated with complex eCommerce transformations and establish protocols to mitigate potential issues in project execution.

Required Skills:


- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the eCommerce industry, including digital marketing, customer experience, platform integration, and omnichannel solutions.

- Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading large consulting teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate while driving strategic alignment and performance.
