Jindal Aluminium - Business Analyst - Imports (10-15 yrs)

Looking for aluminium market/data analyst focusing on supply & demand fundamentals, price dynamics and doing SWOT (Strength-Weakness-Opportunity-Threat) analysis for primary aluminium industry as well as for downstream industry / markets to join the dynamic Raw Material Procurement Team.

Ideal candidate should have why like attitude to understand as why or whether things happen in a certain way or simply think analytically to help senior management to develop informed, well-researched strategies that can maximise profit in procurement by guiding the procurement team to align procurement decisions for the best suitable time to avail maximum profit as well as to avoid losses by identifying the unfavourable times for the procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive analysis of market dynamics affecting the pricing of primary aluminium as well as secondary aluminium markets domestically as well as at global level

- To identify opportunities available in the market matchable to the strength of the company to maximize profitability by aligning procurement decisions for the best suitable time on short term and long term basis.

- To identify threats and weaknesses which may affect the company's business negatively & to help in developing strategies to overcome such situations effectively.

- Must have the ability to make quick and efficient decisions by choosing the best course of action in a number of situations. Must be analytical, determined and aware of the dangers involved in the judgements.

- Ability to work independently and to collaborate well with a team of people.

- Good at communication to reduce the likelihood of misunderstanding and inaccuracies in the recipient's mind.

- Must have capability to look things from different perspectives & not to overlook anything while doing the market analysis/ research because decisions will be based on the result of research so all-important factors must be considered which are likely to affect the decision making or market situation.

- To guide Raw material procurement team to make short term and long-term procurement plans

- Prepare insightful reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing findings, highlighting key metrics, possible changes in the market and providing actionable recommendations.

- Must have knowledge of relevant regulatory changes especially related to Customs duties, Anti-dumping duties etc., industry best practices, emerging technologies relevant to the primary and secondary aluminium markets to support decision making system for making strategic decisions to thrive in a dynamic business environment.
