Quality Control Engineer

B. Tech/Diploma (Civil) with minimum 15 years working experience in the field of Hydro Electric Project construction as a QA/QC Engineer;

• Monitor and supervise construction of tunnels as per Tunnel Design by TBM & DBM according to the specification and drawing of all Tunnel and underground work.
• Quality Check, Design Construction and Production Segmental at casting yard.
• Identification /survey of Borrow areas, quarries and sources of construction materials.
• Establishment of material testing laboratory.
• Conducting mix designs for M-15,M-20,M-25,M-50, shotcrete, plastic concrete, contact grout, consolidation grout and annual mortar as per IS codes /contract agreement specifications.
• Preparation of quality assurance plan.
• Managing & carrying out QC Lab activities.
• Conducting tests on materials being used on site as per the required frequency.
• Verify External Test results of (water, Admixture, Steel, Aggregate, MS plate, Concrete, Elastomeric, Bearing, Soil) as per IS, MORTH Preparation of shotcrete core & testing in Lab as per IS codes.
• All tests of cement, aggregates, soil, concrete, Rock bolt, shotcrete testing.
• Regular inspection of construction machinery and plants to produce desired results.
• Calibration of instruments and batching plant.
• Designing/testing of cement concrete mixes for high strength concrete as per SP-23, IS-10262 and regular control of mixes as well as materials such as cement water, aggregate, etc.
• Computerized documentation and maintaining up-to-date test records in laboratory as well as on site.
• Testing of cement, Bricks, concrete cubes, concrete beams for their suitability as per
• construction contract specification.
• Testing of Borrow materials (to be incorporated into the permanent work) for deferent
• properties e.g. MDD, OMC, CBR, Atterberg limits and deleterious contents.
• Testing of OGL soils for their suitability.
• Calibration of laboratory equipment's such as vibration testing machine, moisture meter,
• calibrating containers and pressure gauges etc.
• Execution of field work to check the quality of finished products.
• Documentation and filing of test result.
