Jet2 Travel Technologies - Senior Test Engineer - Automation Testing (5-8 yrs)

Mandatory Skills :

C#, Api Automation, Specflow, Automation Testing you will be joining an agile scrum team fostering a collaborative approach to ensure the systems under development are testable and built with quality in mind.

You will also :

Work closely with the Test Lead and the wider team, ensuring the timely and quality delivery of projects in an Agile manner. Undertake requirements analysis and validation, transforming the business initiatives into the varying levels of testing (Integration, E2E). You will create and implement high quality and robust API and/or Web UI automation tests using the BDD approach

- Designing and and developing frameworks from scratch

- Perform code reviews and provide feedback in a constructive manner

- Coach and mentor junior testers and/or test engineers

- Contribute to the teams continuous improvement by feeding into Test Standards and Approach

Roles & Responsibilities :

- You will have a strong working knowledge in a programming language c# and extensive experience of automating RESTful APIs and Web UIs.

- Previous experience in Docker and CI/CD pipelines would be beneficial.

You will also have :

- Minimum 6 to 8 years of QA automation experience

- Strong analytical skills and is able to see the bigger picture

- Well versed in root cause analysis and defect management

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a clear and concise way

- Experienced in building and designing test frameworks

- Skilled in creating/maintaining automation tests and able to debug through them

- Strong experience in BDD framework tooling (Specflow, Cucumber)

- Working knowledge of Mocking Mechanism with exposure of Wiremock, Interceptor Pattern or any equivalent tool

- Experience of Git based source control tools and working in an agile environment

- Ideally you will have a working knowledge of containerisation, with exposure of Docker and/or any equivalent tool.

- Knowledge of In Memory Hosting of a system under test is highly desirable
