Jet2 Travel Technologies - Senior Test Engineer - Automation Testing (6-8 yrs)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer with expertise in C#, automation testing, and behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with RestSharp, along with hands-on experience in SpecFlow, API Automation, Cucumber, and mocking mechanisms such as WireMock to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute automated test scripts using C# and SpecFlow for behavior-driven development.

- Implement and maintain robust BDD frameworks to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

- Design and perform API automation testing using tools and frameworks like RestSharp and Postman.

- Develop mock services using WireMock to simulate APIs for testing purposes.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Write and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for new and existing functionalities.

- Leverage Cucumber for cross-functional team collaboration and validation of acceptance criteria.

- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for improvements.

- Stay updated on new testing tools and strategies, incorporating them into the testing lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills :

- Proficiency in C# programming.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with RestSharp for API automation testing.

- Strong knowledge of SpecFlow and Cucumber for BDD.

- Experience with mocking mechanisms and tools such as WireMock.

- Solid understanding of API Automation Testing and related tools/frameworks.

- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines (e., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
