Job Description :
Responsibilities :
- Define the strategic vision for test automation aligned with business objectives and overall IT strategy.
- Identify opportunities for automation across all functions, focusing on scalability, ROI, and value delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, showcasing the value of automation through clear ROI metrics, KPIs, and compelling presentations.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the automation team and the wider organization.
- Develop and maintain scalable, efficient, and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and other relevant areas.
- Select and implement appropriate automation tools, platforms, and technologies, ensuring alignment with
business needs and technical feasibility.
- Oversee the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts.
- Implement feedback loops to continuously refine and improve automation processes and frameworks.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks for all automation projects, ensuring compliance with best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop policies, procedures, and templates to guide automation initiatives and promote consistency across teams.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of automation efforts.
- Evaluate and recommend automation tools, platforms, and technologies, considering factors such as cost, functionality, scalability, and integration capabilities.
- Conduct proof-of-concept projects to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of chosen tools.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in software testing and automation, with a focus on leading and implementing enterprise-wide automation initiatives.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks for UI, API, and other relevant areas.
- Deep understanding of various automation tools and technologies (e.g., Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team of automation engineers.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
