SAP P2P Consultant - VIM Support (6-7 yrs)

A SAP P2P (Procure-to-Pay) VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) Analyst plays a key role in supporting and managing the SAP P2P process and the implementation or optimization of the VIM solution. Below is a typical job description (JD) for this role:

Job Title : SAP P2P VIM Analyst

Job Summary:

The SAP P2P VIM Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the Procure-to-Pay process within SAP with a focus on Vendor Invoice Management (VIM). This includes supporting business users, configuring SAP systems, troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing best practices for SAP P2P and VIM processes. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Accounts Payable, and IT to ensure the efficient operation of the P2P process.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP VIM Support :

- Provide day-to-day support for the Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) system, including issue resolution and system enhancements.

- Ensure the smooth operation of the VIM process, from invoice capture to payment processing.

- Monitor and maintain the system's performance, implementing necessary updates and upgrades.

Configuration & Customization :

- Configure and customize SAP P2P and VIM modules as per business requirements.

- Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues related to SAP P2P and VIM.

- Develop and implement changes in configuration, workflows, and document handling processes.

P2P Process Optimization :

- Analyze current P2P processes and identify areas for improvement.

- Collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Finance teams to streamline workflows and improve invoice processing efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements for the P2P process.

Project Management :

- Participate in or lead VIM implementation projects, upgrades, or enhancement initiatives.

- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.

- Ensure proper documentation of changes, configurations, and business processes.

User Training & Documentation :

- Provide training to end users on SAP P2P and VIM functionalities.

- Create and maintain user manuals, process documentation, and training materials.

- Support testing efforts during system upgrades or changes (UAT).

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Work closely with functional teams (AP, Procurement, Finance, IT) to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

- Ensure that solutions provided are aligned with business objectives and SAP best practices.

System Upgrades & Enhancements :

- Keep abreast of SAP updates and enhancements related to P2P and VIM.

- Collaborate with SAP technical teams to implement system upgrades and test new functionalities.

Reporting & Analytics :

- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor P2P performance.

- Provide insights to the business on process efficiency, payment accuracy, and invoice lifecycle.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Experience :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP P2P and VIM modules.

- Strong knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay process and vendor invoice management solutions.

- Experience with SAP VIM configuration, customization, and support.

Skills :

- Proficiency in SAP P2P, MM (Material Management), and FI (Finance) modules.

- Experience with SAP OpenText VIM (highly desirable).

- Understanding of integration points between P2P, VIM, and other SAP modules (e.g., FI, MM, SD).

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for P2P processes (preferred).

Preferred Certifications :

- SAP Certification in P2P or VIM modules (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate).

- Certification in OpenText VIM (if applicable).
