Role Overview
MarketStar is seeking a Sales Operations Specialist to improve sales processes and provide sales data, reporting, and actionable insights to enable sales leadership and teams make informed decisions. This role involves identifying process gaps and implementing initiatives to boost sales team performance. We need a skilled sales ops professional with a proven ability to improve sales operations through data-driven insights.
The ideal candidate is adept in process buildout and enhancement, data analysis, creating reports in Salesforce and Tableau, and proficient in Google Sheets/Excel. They should be able to communicate ideas clearly, offer fresh perspectives, and drive global sales performance, supporting all sales KPIs.
Role Outline & Responsibilities
Understand sales flows for different teams and collaborate with sales team leaders in identifying process bottlenecks to drive efficiency
Work closely with sales leadership to inspect sales process effectiveness; proactively identify areas of process improvement and optimization to drive sales velocity
Build out and map new processes for sales teams to follow to implement changes or enhancements to sales cycle flow
Provide actionable insights to sales leadership to inform business decisions and guide sales focus and activity
Create, improve, and manage reporting for the sales organization across global territories/regions
Provide ad hoc reports and dashboards in both Salesforce and Tableau based on complex data
Attend weekly sales team meetings to understand key initiatives and provide reporting and insights
Identify key trends at rep level, team level, & market level to drive business forward
Performance metrics analysis to determine trends and insights to guide program strategy
Monitor and measure sales performance; conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting
Ensure reporting maintains high levels of quality and accuracy
Provide necessary data points for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews
Manage Administrative Operations
Employee On/off boarding in systems
Sales tool escalation process
Roster management
Provide Necessary data points for Weekly. Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews
Role Requirements
2+ years of Sales Operations, Business Operations, and/or Sales Analytics experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing, Data Science, IT, or related field
Experience in mapping out new or enhancing existing sales/business processes
Proficient in Salesforce, including lead, opportunity, and bookings flow, and light admin functions
Proficient in Tableau, building reports and custom dashboards for data visualization
Analytical mindset to interpret data and dashboards to identify trends and focus areas
Ability to present and explain data in understandable terms to sales leaders and teams
Understanding of sales cycles including leads, opportunity management, and pipeline management
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Results oriented and comfortable working autonomously
Ability to multitask and successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Must adapt well to change and successfully set and adjust priorities as needed
Expert in Microsoft Office and Google products (Excel, Sheets, PowerPoint, etc.)
A skills assessment may be conducted as part of the interview process
