Salesforce API QA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce API QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in API testing, Salesforce integrations, and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, including Salesforce REST and SOAP APIs, SOQL query writing, and automation testing. This role requires expertise in manual and automated API testing and the ability to validate Salesforce data integrity efficiently.

Perform end-to-end testing of Salesforce REST & SOAP APIs, ensuring correct request-response validation.
Validate API functionality, authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT, Basic Auth), security, and error handling.
Design and execute manual API test cases for Salesforce integrations and data exchanges.
Validate Salesforce configurations, workflows, and Apex triggers via API testing.

Develop and maintain API automation frameworks using Rest Assured, Postman, NodeJS, Mocha, Chai, SuperTest, or equivalent tools.
Implement test automation strategies for Salesforce APIs to ensure high test coverage and efficiency.
Automate Salesforce data validation scenarios and API workflows using SOQL queries.
Leverage automation to test Salesforce CPQ, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud API integrations.

Possess deep expertise in Salesforce data models, objects (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Leads, Cases, Custom Objects), and workflows.
Write complex SOQL queries to validate Salesforce database integrity and test API responses.
Retrieve and analyze data from multiple Salesforce objects and ensure data consistency across sandbox and production environments.
Work with Salesforce Admins and Developers to debug and validate Salesforce data structures.

Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate API tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
Ensure automated test execution as part of the build and deployment process.
Troubleshoot CI/CD failures related to API automation.

Conduct performance testing of Salesforce APIs to identify latency, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
Monitor API performance using Grafana, New Relic, or Splunk.
Ensure Salesforce API response times meet SLAs and optimize API test execution.

Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
Collaborate with Salesforce developers, admins, and business analysts to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives in Agile environments.
Provide test coverage reports and continuous feedback for process improvements.

5+ years of experience in Salesforce API Testing (Manual & Automation).
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce REST & SOAP API testing.
Expertise in API automation using Rest Assured, Postman, SuperTest, or NodeJS (Mocha/Chai).
Deep Salesforce knowledge, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Custom Objects.
Proficiency in SOQL query writing for data validation and troubleshooting.
Experience in CI/CD pipeline integration using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 authentication, API security testing, and data encryption.
Strong experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments with TDD & BDD frameworks.

Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, CPQ Specialist, or equivalent).
Experience with contract testing (PACT, OpenAPI validation) for Salesforce integrations.
Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or K6.
Exposure to Salesforce automation tools like Provar, Selenium, or Testim.
Knowledge of Salesforce DX, Apex, and Lightning Web Components is a plus.
