Salesforce SOQL QA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Salesforce SOQL Tester with strong expertise in SOQL query writing, Salesforce CPQ testing, and API testing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Lead to Opportunity flow, User Profile level testing, and complex SOQL queries for retrieving and validating Salesforce data. This role requires hands-on experience with CPQ testing, API testing (REST/SOAP), and strong Salesforce data validation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on Salesforce applications, including Salesforce CPQ.
• Validate Lead to Opportunity flow, ensuring seamless transitions between different sales stages.
• Execute User Profile level testing scenarios, ensuring proper permissions and data access configurations.
• Develop and execute test cases using SOQL queries to validate Salesforce data integrity.

• Test Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) functionalities, ensuring correct pricing, discounts, and approvals.
• Validate CPQ rules, product bundling, and contract renewals.
• Perform end-to-end testing of Quote-to-Cash processes, including subscription renewals and price adjustments.
• Ensure accurate CPQ workflows, including quote generation, approvals, and contract lifecycle management.

• Write and execute complex SOQL queries to retrieve and validate test data.
• Extract and analyze data from Account, Contact, and Subscription tables, ensuring data consistency.
• Develop queries for:
  • Retrieving data from Account and Contact tables for business validation.
  • Fetching renewal opportunities that will expire in the next 30 days, considering no direct relationship between tables.
  • Listing all opportunities sold by a specific user (Deepika) while logged in as another user (Rohit s profile), ensuring query execution without predefined table relationships.

• Perform API testing (REST/SOAP) using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or SOAP UI.
• Validate Salesforce integrations with third-party applications through API calls.
• Verify data synchronization between Salesforce and external systems.
• Write SOQL queries to validate API response data for consistency.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to understand test requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies tailored to Salesforce CPQ and API testing.
• Create and maintain test datasets to support SOQL-driven test cases.

• Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of CPQ and API-related issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to debug and resolve issues efficiently.

• Work in Agile environments, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Provide test coverage metrics and insights into system data quality.
• Suggest continuous improvements in testing processes using data-driven validation approaches.

• Stay updated on Salesforce best practices, SOQL optimizations, and upcoming releases.
• Conduct performance testing on complex queries and data retrieval operations.
• Optimize SOQL queries to improve execution time and efficiency.

5+ years of experience in Salesforce Testing with strong SOQL query writing skills.
Hands-on experience in Lead to Opportunity flow testing and User Profile-based testing scenarios.
Proficiency in Salesforce CPQ testing including pricing, discounts, approvals, and subscriptions.
Expertise in writing complex SOQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
Strong experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
Solid understanding of Salesforce data structures, objects (Account, Contact, Subscription, Opportunity, etc.), and relationships.
Ability to retrieve, analyze, and validate data without direct table relationships using SOQL queries.
Experience in defect management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning and Classic UI.
Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.

Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce CPQ Specialist, or equivalent) are a plus.
Experience with Salesforce automation testing tools (Selenium, Provar, or Testim) is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Apex, Triggers, and Data Loader is beneficial but not mandatory.
