Cashier

Overview:
The Cashier is responsible for managing all cash transactions within the hotel, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role involves handling payments, maintaining records, and providing exceptional service to guests and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cash Handling:
   
• Process payments including cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required.
• Ensure accurate and secure handling of cash and other financial instruments.
2. Daily Transactions:
   
• Reconcile cash drawers and ensure all transactions are accounted for at the end of each shift.
• Deposit cash into the hotels designated accounts as per policy.
• Maintain records of daily transactions and prepare reports for the finance department.

1. Compliance and Accuracy:
   
• Adhere to hotel financial policies and procedures, including cash handling and reporting standards.
• Conduct regular audits of cash drawers to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
2. Collaboration:
   
• Coordinate with the front office, food and beverage outlets, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
• Prior experience as a cashier or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and integrity.
