Accounts Assistant

Role & responsibilities

1. Providing support to the Accounting Department at Corporate Office,
2. General Accounting,
3. Bookkeeping,
4. Invoicing,
5. Maintain financial records up to date,
6. Maintain and monitor account payables,
7. Making day to day entries in Tally software,
8. Entering transactions in the accounting system such as expenses and sales, updating ledgers,
9. Basic data entry tasks for accounting assistants include logging transactions, recording and reviewing journal entries, creating invoices, and crafting spreadsheets,
10. Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct,
11. Processing expense requests corporate office for payments,
12. Keeping track of cash vouchers and employee reimbursements,
13. Petty cash handling,
14. Bank reconciliation,
15. Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers,
16. Preparing MIS reports as and when required,
17. Recording of cash &bank transactions,
18. Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies,
19. Assist in reconciling accounts and audits in a timely manner,
20. Maintain data in excel sheets and making reports,
21. Support of HR workings such as basic attendance work, service charge calculation, overtime.
22. Education:
23. Minimum: Bachelor's of Commerce (Required)
24. Masters of Commerce (Preferred)
25. Skills required:
26. Required knowledge of Tally ERP accounting software
27. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software specially MS Excel & MS Word
28. Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills
29. Familiarity with basic accounting principles
