Designation : Principal ELN Developer / Lead (Biovia Systems)

Qualification : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Reports to : Delivery Manager (Direct), Functional Team Lead - ELN Team (Indirect)

Experience : Candidates with experience in software development in Laboratory Informatics projects with minimum 5+ years in Biovia ELN Development, including deep customization using Biovia's ELN SDK kit preferred for the role.

Office Location : Indiranagar (Bangalore, Karnataka) - Remote Work Mode (WFH)

Work Timing : 7 : 00 PM - 4 : 00 AM (IST) / 8 : 30 PM - 5 : 30 AM (IST)

Job Role : The Principal ELN Developer / Lead (Biovia Systems) will be responsible for developing, customizing, and implementing Biovia's Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) in a pharmaceutical environment. This role requires deep expertise in Biovia ELN SDK, .Net, C#, and Python programming to manage existing projects and support a migration project for a new release. The candidate will be involved in architectural decisions, development, and integration while also leading a development team.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop code using .Net, C#, and Python for Biovia ELN customization

2. Write and perform unit tests to ensure code quality

3. Configure laboratory information systems at both basic and complex levels

4. Develop simple and complex software functionality with a limited scope

5. Write basic SQL queries following relational database schema design principles

6. Integrate laboratory instruments with scientific software packages

7. Develop and generate dynamic reports

8. Break complex development processes into manageable tasks

9. Transform client requirements into design solutions

10. Lead architectural evaluations and make strategic technical decisions

11. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team

12. Write and maintain system interfaces using pre-existing middleware

13. Author System Architecture and Deployment Plans

14. Optimize database performance and software functionality

15. Participate in code peer reviews to enforce coding standards and best practices

16. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives

17. Take a leading role in requirements analysis with client stakeholders

18. Develop reusable utility and library software for general use

Required Skills :

1. Strong expertise in Biovia ELN SDK for deep customization and architecture

2. Proficiency in .Net, C#, and Python for ELN development
