Role & responsibilities

Technical Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct paper application tests, including spray starch, wet end starch, size press starch, and coating starch, for both existing and new products based on Quality Control (QC) request.
• Collaborate with the production department for on time testing of product.
• Coordinate laboratory tests with customers requirement to evaluate samples.
• Conduct trial runs of modified products on Paper and Board machines in collaboration with Paper Machine incharges.
• To ensure paper and paper board functional properties are tested of each and every jumbo manufactured within stipulated time and release jumbo card for further processing.
• To ensure good coordination with process department for any quality deviation and physical defects to minimize quality rejections.
• To ensure quality protocols are followed during conversation process.
• To have good knowledge of all types of mechanical testing of paper and paper board in line with TAPPI and ISO standards.
• To have good managerial skills in handling manpower.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Diploma Chemical Engineering / Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Pulp and Paper Technology / MSc in Chemistry
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support or product development within the paper industry.
• Proficiency in English (both written and oral).
• Ready to work in Shifts including night shift
