OpenShift Administrator - Linux OS (5-7 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform clusters.

- Perform upgrades, patching, and maintenance tasks.

- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.

- Manage and optimize Kubernetes workloads running on OpenShift, including deployments, pods, services, and namespaces.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

- Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions for OpenShift and Kubernetes.

- Utilize tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch to track cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.

- Implement and enforce security policies and best practices for OpenShift.

- Manage user access, roles, and permissions.

- Ensure compliance with security standards.

- Configure and manage OpenShift networking components, including SDN, ingress controllers, and service meshes.

- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

- Manage persistent storage for OpenShift applications using various storage providers.

- Configure and maintain storage classes and persistent volumes.

- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g, Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (e.g, Ansible).

- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for OpenShift deployments.

- Integrate OpenShift with CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, deployments, and releases.

- Work with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD workflows.

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to provide support and guidance on OpenShift and Kubernetes.

- Troubleshoot application deployment issues and provide technical assistance.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for OpenShift environments, including installation guides, configuration settings, and troubleshooting procedures.

- Monitor resource utilization and perform capacity planning to ensure the scalability and performance of OpenShift clusters.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 5+ years of experience in system administration, with a focus on Linux.

- 3+ years of experience administering Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

- Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts and principles.

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, CRI-O).

- Proficiency in using command-line tools for OpenShift and Kubernetes management (oc, kubectl).

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch).

- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

- Experience with automation and scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible).

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
