Eximietas Design - OpenShift Administrator - Red Hat (3-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Red Hat OpenShift Administrator to join our growing DevOps team.

You will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our OpenShift platform, ensuring its stability, performance, and security.

This position requires a strong understanding of containerization technologies, a passion for automation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Platform Administration :

- Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters, including the underlying virtualization platform and associated storage solutions (e.g, persistent volumes, storage classes).

- Manage and monitor the health, performance, and security of the OpenShift environment, including nodes, pods, services, and deployments.

- Implement and manage resource quotas, network policies, and security measures within the OpenShift cluster.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cluster stability, application deployments, and resource utilization.

Automation & Orchestration :

- Design and implement automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform to automate routine tasks such as deployments, upgrades, and scaling.

- Integrate OpenShift with CI/CD pipelines (e.g, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) to streamline application deployments and improve release cycles.

Platform Optimization :

- Implement strategies for deployment scaling, redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery.

- Optimize cluster performance and resource utilization through capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource allocation.

Security & Compliance :

- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, including regular system updates, vulnerability scans, and security audits.

- Implement and maintain security measures within the OpenShift environment, such as network policies, role-based access control, and image scanning.

Collaboration & Support :

- Collaborate closely with development teams to provide guidance and support for application deployments and troubleshooting.

- Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support of the OpenShift platform.

- Provide technical documentation and training to other IT staff as needed.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Red Hat OpenShift or other Kubernetes distributions.

- Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their underlying principles.

- Proficiency in Linux system administration and scripting (e.g, Bash, Python).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

- Experience with automation tools (e.g, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
