Project Manager

Role & Accountability

Single Point of Contact (SPOC) to manage all the Projects requirements of HPE.

• Overseeing project deliverables from design stage through final execution.
• Manage and support all aspects and stages of office fit-out, and new-build projects including- pre-design, design, construction and client communication.
• Design review in conjunction with architects, project consultants & review and taking sign off from HPE Project lead.
• Transforming HPE business requirement to design team and necessary coordination
• Liaise with contractors, handle tenders, contract administration and coordination
• Hosting weekly project review meetings, to address design and quality issues and attend any quires or clarifications and monitoring the project milestone
• Responsible of ensuring sound project safety compliance and reviewing safety performance during weekly meeting.
• Close monitoring of project labour compliance in line with applicable local statutory norms
• Coordination with HPE Project lead and providing project status update on day to basis or on need basis
• Ensuring sound compliance pertaining to design, quality, and integrity at each stage of the project deliverables.
• Necessary support and assistance to HPE Procurement team on technical ground as needed.
• Sound coordination and collaboration with HPE Project Stakeholders (GW, IT, PSPS, ISS) as needed.
• Front ending project handing over and ensuring smooth transition
• Ensure effective and smooth completion of the projects.

Expectation

• The project manager has expertise available for monitoring and reporting.
• MS Project
• Auto cad knowledge and drawing reviews.
• Financial tracking systems to provide monthly reports for:
• Actual versus budget
• Payment overviews/tracking
• Open invoice overview
• Warranty control
• Cash flow forecasts
• Capital versus expense items
• Ensure Compliance with Local, State, National, Or International Laws, Codes and Regulations.
• Compliance with business regulatory requirements applicable to facilities Project services and ensure Statutory compliance are tracked and monitored on regular basis
• Ensure that compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of each buildings infrastructure, alerting building management of discrepancies.
• Ensure Proper Badging of all Subcontract personals.
• Perform Work Using Trained and Qualified Personnel
• Will maintain, and document required qualifications, licenses, certifications, training, and experience appropriate to perform the work and to maintain EHS requirements and standards. Will also perform and document all HPE-specific training.

Activity

• Focal point of contact for all vendors/contractors
• To manage the pre-design, design, construction and completion stages of the project.
• Assemble and effectively lead the project teams to achieve the best possible performance from all members.
• Within each project, establish an effective organization structure for reporting and responsibility and authority, and to establish working procedures.
• Effectively Manage and monitor all Change Management control Process
• Monitor and report on the programs of the projects to measure the performance compared to programs and budgets, and to take corrective action.
• Obtain all required approvals (e.g. building permits, environmental permits…)
• Administers and manages the vendors/contractors and other project team members such as engineers and architects
• Monitors cost, quality and time line of the project
• Monthly status reporting of key metrics to HPE
• Escalates deviations and proposes mitigation strategies
• Claim management
• Change management (scope, cost, time line)
• Approves invoices and pre payments

COMPETENCIES / Skill REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering Degree in a relevant project related discipline or related field and minimum five (10) years’ experience in aspects of Design / Construction/ Project Management.
• A high level of competency at the required levels of Project and Development.
• Exposure and experience in dealing with multinational corporate organisations
• Ability to think strategically and develop real estate solutions
• Ability to adapt and perform under pressure
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
