Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong understanding of Node.js and a passion for building scalable and robust applications. The ideal candidate will also possess solid frontend development skills, enabling them to contribute across the development lifecycle. This role requires a proactive and technically strong individual who can lead projects, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the overall architecture and design of our systems. You will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our products and driving innovation.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services using Node.js and related technologies.

- Lead the development of key features and projects, from conception to deployment.

- Develop and consume RESTful APIs, with a focus on performance and scalability.

- Integrate with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and other backend systems.

- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices.

- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user interfaces.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production and development environments.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

- Mentor and guide junior developers.

- Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and systems, providing technical leadership.

- Participate in agile development methodologies.

- Drive technical decisions and influence the technology roadmap.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend development.

- Strong proficiency in Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Express, NestJS).

- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and design patterns.

- Extensive experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and test-driven development.

- Solid understanding of frontend technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).

- Experience with API design and development, including performance optimization and security considerations.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to lead and mentor junior developers.

Preferred Skills (Optional) :

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum.

- Understanding of security best practices and secure coding techniques.

- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
