Commis Chef

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Commis chef for Narra our Innovative restaurant & bar on Havelock island, in the Andaman Islands. The venue hosts an open kitchen and bar, so great interpersonal and social skills are essential.

• The ability to learn each section and learn the preparation of food.
• Ensuring food quality and taste.
• Maintaining cleanliness
• Provide support to the Kitchen brigade prepare and present high quality dishes.
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination.
• Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate will be a culinary/hospitality university graduate with 1 or 2 years of experience. Along with western kitchen experience, those with Asian and Continental experience will be considered as a plus.
