Commis Chef (1/ 2 / 3)

To prepare the food as per the menu with direction when required from the senior chef on duty, maintaining the quality with minimal wastage. Using a clean as you work philosophy, so the Kitchen is compliant with Health and Safety regulations. Give guidance, support and basic training to the Kitchen Stewards who support the Kitchen function from cleaning, porting,

washing and managing supplies and store areas.

Key Responsibility

• Support the planning, preparation, and production of food
• Support daily operations of the kitchen and live kitchen section
• Assist in the stock control of food and beverages
• Adhere to professional standards of food presentation, production, and portion control
• Use of cleaning products in a safe manner
• To follow cleaning procedures including use of equipment
• To ensure the Food Quality is in accordance with the prescribed standards
• Ensure the hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and food counters achieve total customer satisfaction and meet company standards
• Assist with the basic training for team members
• Supports the Chef de Partie and Sous Chefs with the running of the Kitchen
• Any other request within the scope of the position

Job Profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in F&B Production preferably in hotel or catering industry
• out of which minimum 1 year in a kitchen role of Commis 1
• • Practical knowledge and experience in food production operations
• • Proactive, enthusiastic, strong sense of responsibility and positive thinking
• • Able to work independently and under pressure
• • Shift duty is required
