Job Title: Senior Market Research Analyst (5-10 Years)

Invisia aims to revolutionize the US travel booking landscape with a cutting-edge hotel booking app. We're building a platform prioritizing user experience, personalization, and unmatched convenience. As we gear up for our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) launch, we seek a strategic Senior Market Research Analyst to lead our research efforts and propel our success in the competitive hospitality industry.
Job Description:
In this leadership role, you'll wear multiple hats. You'll design and execute research initiatives across various domains, including:
1. Market Research: Analyze overall market trends, size, and growth potential for the US travel booking app market.
2. Industry Research: Deep dive into the US hospitality industry landscape, including competitor offerings, pricing models, and technological advancements.
3. Consumer Research: Understand the needs, preferences, and booking behavior of US travelers, especially those utilizing mobile apps for hotel bookings.
4. Behavioral Research: Uncover user behavior patterns to inform our app's design, functionality, and user experience.
5. Product Research: Conduct research to understand user needs and preferences related to travel booking apps, informing product development efforts. (Preferred Skill)
6. Competitor Research: Conduct a thorough analysis of our key competitors in the US market, including their strengths, weaknesses, and user base.
You'll leverage your expertise in research methodologies to extract valuable insights from various sources. This will involve:
1. Designing and Publishing Surveys: Craft engaging and effective surveys to gather data directly from US travelers. You'll manage the survey distribution process and ensure high response rates.
2. Third-Party Data Analysis: Utilize data from leading research firms like GWI and Forrester to supplement your research findings and comprehensively understand the US travel market.
3. User Research: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points related to travel booking apps. This may involve techniques such as usability testing and user interviews. (Preferred Skill)
4. Data Visualization: Present research findings clearly, concisely, and visually appealingly using tools like Power BI.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the market research team, including setting research objectives, assigning tasks, and mentoring junior researchers.
2. Designed and executed research projects across the market, industry, consumer, behavior, product, and competitor domains, explicitly focusing on the US travel booking app market.
3. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and third-party databases.
4. Translate research findings into actionable insights that inform product development, marketing strategies, and business decisions.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party research vendors.
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the travel & hospitality industry and market research methodologies.
7. Communicate research findings effectively to stakeholders across various departments, including product, marketing, and leadership.
8. Maintain a high level of organization and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications:
Mandatory:
1. Masters degree in Marketing Research, Business Analytics, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in market research with a proven track record of success.
3. Extensive experience conducting research within the eCommerce, SaaS or SaaP background
4. Solid understanding of research methodologies, including survey design, data collection, and analysis.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
6. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to present research findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
7. Proficient in using research tools and platforms, such as survey software (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
8. Experience accessing and analyzing data from third-party research vendors like GWI and Forrester.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Preferred:
1. Prior experience leading a market research team.
2. Experience with mobile app user research methodologies.
3. Experience conducting competitive intelligence research.
4. Strong understanding of the US travel market landscape and current trends.
Education:

7. Are you confident presenting complex research findings to a non-research audience (e.g., product managers, executives)?
8. Are you proficient in data visualization tools like Power BI to present research findings clearly and compellingly?
