Lead Engineer Mobile Apps

About the role

React Native Development:  

• Utilize React Native framework to design and implement cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS.  
• Collaborate with the development team to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and user experience.  

Scalability and Performance:  

• Develop scalable and efficient mobile applications that can handle a large number of users.  
• Optimize application performance to ensure a smooth user experience on various devices.  

Non-functional Requirements:

• Have a strong understanding of various non-functional requirements such as security, reliability, and maintainability.  
• Implement best practices to ensure the application meets high standards in terms of performance, responsiveness, and usability.  

Code Quality and Review:

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.  
• Participate in code reviews to maintain a high standard of code quality within the team.  

Collaboration:  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to define, design, and ship new features.  
• Work closely with QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.  

Continuous Learning:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously improve your skills and knowledge.

Documentation:  

• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.

What you will need to have

• Proven 4 - 6 experience in developing mobile applications using React Native.
• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, and performance.
• Experience in building and maintaining scalable Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Proficient in JavaScript and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax.  Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode and Android Studio.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and different mobile architectures.
• Experience with automated testing suites, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
