Product Designer (Mobile Apps) : 5 years

Role Overview

Were looking for a highly skilled Product Designer with extensive experience crafting intuitive and engaging mobile app experiences on both iOS and Android. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end design processesfrom initial user research and concepting to pixel-perfect executionfor products used by millions of users. Youll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to create designs that align with business goals while delighting our customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mobile App Design
• Design seamless user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces for iOS and Android.
• Ensure adherence to platform-specific guidelines (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Android Material Design).
2. Scalable Design Systems
• Contribute to and evolve a design system that supports millions of active users.
• Maintain consistency and a polished look-and-feel across all products and features.
3. Collaboration and Communication
• Partner with Product Managers, Developers, and UX Researchers to define and refine requirements.
• Communicate design rationale, value, and feasibility to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
4. Visual and Motion Design
• Utilize Figma for component libraries, prototyping, and collaborative design sessions.
• Incorporate Lottie files and other motion design elements to enhance user experience and reinforce brand identity.
5. User-Centered Approach
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions.
• Gather feedback from analytics, user interviews, and A/B testing to iterate and improve the product.
6. Quality Assurance
• Work closely with engineering teams during development handoffs to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
• Review and refine UI/UX details throughout the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Product Design, specifically for mobile applications with high user engagement and scale.
• Tool Proficiency: Strong command of Figma for design, prototyping, and collaboration. Familiarity with Lottie for incorporating animations and micro-interactions.
• Platforms: Deep understanding of both iOS and Android design guidelines and best practices.
• Portfolio: Demonstrated success in designing products used by millions of users (please include portfolio or case studies).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and pivot as needed based on feedback and shifting requirements.
• Team Player: Collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to both teach and learn from peers.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with user research methodologies and data-driven design.
• Knowledge of design systems and pattern libraries for large-scale applications.
