Mobile Lead Engineer - iOS/Android Platforms (5-7 yrs)

Role : Mobile Lead (Permanent Position)

Experience Required :

- 5-7 years of experience in Android development

- Proven track record of HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and/or vehicle-side application development

- Strong proficiency in building and deploying mobile applications for Android, iOS, and Flutter

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Mobile Lead with extensive experience in architecting, designing, and developing mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Android, iOS, and Flutter ecosystems, along with hands-on experience in HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and vehicle-related software solutions. In this role, you will lead a team of mobile developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the entire mobile development lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring high performance and quality.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Technical Leadership :

- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to the mobile development team.

- Oversee and ensure best practices for coding, testing, and deployment across Android, iOS, and Flutter platforms.

- Drive code reviews, mentor team members, and maintain high-quality coding standards.

2. Cross-Platform & Hybrid Technologies :

- Evaluate, recommend, and implement cross-platform frameworks and tools (e.g., Flutter, React Native) based on project requirements.

- Balance native development for specific features with cross-platform approaches for efficiency.

3. HMI and Vehicle Integration :

- Work closely with automotive/vehicle teams to integrate HMI interfaces, vehicle telemetry, and sensor data into mobile apps.

- Ensure compliance with automotive standards and maintain a robust communication layer between vehicle-side and app-side components.

4. Project Management & Collaboration :

- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and stakeholders to define project scope, user stories, and deliverables.

- Create and maintain project timelines, ensure on-time feature delivery, and manage risk and dependencies.

5. Quality Assurance & Maintenance :

- Implement and uphold continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Handle ongoing maintenance, updates, and support for mobile applications in production.

- Perform troubleshooting and debugging to optimize application performance.

6. Innovation & Strategy :

- Stay up-to-date with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

- Recommend new tools and technologies to improve development efficiency and product performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- 5-7 years of experience in Android development (Java/Kotlin).

- Proficiency in iOS development (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Flutter (Dart).

- Working knowledge or experience with HMI systems, automotive protocols, and vehicle-side integration.

Leadership & Communication :

- Experience leading teams or managing projects end-to-end.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Tools & Methodologies :

- Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar), Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Knowledge of design patterns, MVVM, MVP, or similar architectural patterns.

Other Desirables :

- Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for backend integrations.

- Familiarity with user-centric design principles and UX best practices.
