Product Engineer - Web & Mobile Applications (5-7 yrs)

Role Overview :

As a Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in front end designing, building, and refining our mobile and web applications.

This unique position requires someone who can "straddle two horses": someone with the technical skills to implement robust, scalable features and the product sense to understand user needs and business priorities.

You will work closely with the business teams, designers, and other engineers to create exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

Engineering Excellence :

- Build and maintain scalable, high-performance web and mobile applications using React Native.

- Implement clean, maintainable, and testable code.

- Leverage your knowledge of React.js to contribute to web-first experiences where necessary.

- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs seamlessly.

Product Alignment :

- Collaborate closely with business leaders and designers to translate product requirements into technical solutions.

- Advocate for a user-first approach while balancing technical feasibility and business needs.

- Proactively identify opportunities for product improvements and innovations.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Partner with design teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of UI/UX designs.

- Participate in product discovery and help shape the roadmap by contributing engineering insights.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across teams to ensure alignment on deliverables.

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in React Native with a proven track record of building mobile applications.

- Proficiency in React.js for web development is highly desirable.

- Experience with state management libraries (e.g, Redux, MobX, or Context API).

- Knowledge of modern front-end tools and workflows (e.g, Webpack, ES6+, npm/yarn).

- Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and integrating backend services.

- Experience with version control (e.g, Git) and CI/CD workflows.

Product Thinking :

- Strong ability to understand product vision and user needs.

- Proven experience in balancing trade-offs between technical constraints and business goals.

- Ability to break down complex requirements into implementable features.
