Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the operations of our drone and survey services. This role requires a dynamic professional with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the drone and surveying industry, and the ability to drive efficiency and innovation in operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure seamless execution of drone-based surveying projects.
• Plan resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets to meet client and company goals.
• Analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of drone operators, survey technicians, and support staff.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous learning.
• Oversee recruitment and performance evaluations of team members.

Project Management:

• Coordinate and oversee all stages of survey projects, from initial planning to final delivery.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all aviation, drone operation, and industry-specific regulations.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols and risk mitigation plans.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drone regulations and technological advancements.

Resource and Equipment Management:

• Manage and maintain a fleet of drones, survey equipment, and associated software.
• Oversee equipment procurement, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Optimize inventory management to minimize downtime and costs.

Data Management and Reporting:

• Oversee the collection, processing, and delivery of survey data to clients.
• Implement data management systems to ensure accuracy and security.
• Prepare operational performance reports and provide actionable insights to senior management.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide regular updates on project statuses, challenges, and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the drone or surveying industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of drone technology, survey methodologies, and industry regulations.
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in drone operation or surveying (e.g., FAA Part 107 or equivalent).
• Experience with LiDAR, thermal imaging, or other advanced drone payloads.
• Knowledge of environmental or construction-related survey standards.
