IT Support Trainee

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to internal users, addressing IT issues related to software, hardware, network, and other technical areas.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues efficiently, including system errors, network connectivity problems, and hardware malfunctions.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
• Manage IT equipment inventory and ensure proper functioning of all devices.
• Set up new employees with necessary IT resources, including hardware, software, and access to systems.
• Assist with IT projects, including software and hardware upgrades and system implementations.
• Maintain user access control, including user accounts and passwords, following security protocols.
• Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures for future reference.
• Provide training and support to staff on new technologies, software, and tools.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure.
• Perform routine backups and recovery processes for critical systems and data.

Preferred Skills and Qualification:

• Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Understanding of IT security protocols and best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard productivity tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• ⁠CCNA certification
• Diploma in hardware and networking
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience plus in IT support or a related role.
