Data Analyst - Power BI,SQL

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Power BI, and Excel, and will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, generating insights, and creating comprehensive reports to support business decisions. The Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management:
o Gather data from various sources, including databases like Microsoft SQL Server, spreadsheets, and external data sources like MongoDB and Azure Storage Tables.
o Write complex and optimized SQL queries and Stored Procedures to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
o Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular data cleaning and validation.
o Build Web or Console based Utilities to extract data from multiple sources.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
o Analyze large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
o Use statistical techniques and data analysis methods to interpret data.
Reporting and Visualization:
o Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
o Develop Excel-based reports and tools for data analysis.
o Present findings and insights through clear and compelling visualizations.
Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to understand data needs and deliver insights.
o Communicate data findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
o Provide ad hoc data analysis and support as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills:
o Proficient in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
o Advanced skills in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation. Experience with PowerBi Embedded would be an advantage.
o Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced functions.
o Experience in building web based or console utilities in Python or .NET to extract data from multiple data sources like SQL Server, MongoDB and Azure Storage Tables would be an advantage.
Analytical Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
o Experience with statistical analysis and data modelling.
o Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Communication Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Educational Background:
o Bachelors degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
o Relevant certifications in data analysis e.g. Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or related technologies are a plus.
Experience:
o Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a data analyst role or a similar position.
o Proven track record of delivering actionable insights and reports.
