Position Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key strategic partner to the CEO and the Board of Directors, leading the financial function of the Indian entity. The CFO will be responsible for driving the company's financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing financial operations, and contributing to the organization's overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute the financial strategy to support the company's business objectives.
- Provide strategic advice and insights to the CEO and Board based on financial analysis and market trends.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements and reports as per Indian (IND AS) and international standards (IFRS).
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks.
- Ensure compliance with all local statutory, tax, and legal requirements, as well as group policies and standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to maintain strong governance.
- Monitor and manage working capital, cash flow, and liquidity to support business operations.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and enhance financial efficiency across the organization.
- Implement and manage robust financial systems, tools, and processes to improve decision-making.
- Act as the primary interface with the Group CFO, ensuring alignment with global financial goals and reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.).
- An MBA in Finance or a related field is highly desirable.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership position (e.g., CFO, Financial Controller).
- Proven track record in a multinational corporate environment, preferably with exposure to listed companies.
- Strong knowledge of Indian regulatory and tax environments, along with experience in global financial reporting standards (IFRS).
