Job Description

Areas of Responsibility: Overall custodian of procure-to-pay process, ensuring process efficiency, tight and strict internal controls management Process and controls (Procure to Pay Process) Ensure 3-way-match of purchase orders, vendor invoices, payments Check, verify and process periodic supplier payments, invoices, staff expense claims, staff reimbursements Download and update SAP banking for the payments made Review vendor statements for completeness of invoices Budget validation and reconciliation to cost centres Review and ensure robust vendor accruals

Establish and maintain vendor master data (making sure all internal control requirements have been met including payment terms) in SAP following the approval process

Cash forecast and optimisation Co-manage cash out-flow forecast Contribute ideas of optimising cash with vendor analysis like extend payment terms Filing, archiving and collating of accounts payable documentation Participate and contribute to any other ad hoc reporting or projects as and when directed by management Assist the financial controller with profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, reconciliations and month end close activities Assistance and support to Leadership Team, Finance Department and other staff in a prompt and efficient manner.

Competencies, Skills and Experience

Competencies:

Ability to create collaborative and constructive relationships at multiple levels within internal and external stakeholders (including banks, insurance brokers, tax and regulatory authorities etc.)

Continuous improvement mindset Ability to maintain the discipline required for robust, vendor focused outcomes Oral and written communication Time and priority management Attention to detail Highly self-motivated and directed Flexible approach to work and responsibilities Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Skills: SAP BFC (not mandatory a plus) SAP Concur (not mandatory a plus) Readsoft (not mandatory a plus) I-Buy (not mandatory a plus) Minimum 5 year s experience in the provision of payments related products and services. Experience in leading cross-functional teams with demonstrable experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment. Cost centre management skills with a focus on budgeting, forecasting and controlling. Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems. Strong customer-service orientation. Excellent understanding of the organisation s goals and objectives. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant university qualification Good working knowledge of Accounting Systems
