USAID PAHAL PROJECT TECHNICAL SUPPORT UNIT WITH NATIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY SAMRIDH BLENDED FINANCE FACILITY.
Partnerships for Affordable Healthcare Access and Longevity (PAHAL) project is USAID/India supported innovative financing platform managed by IPE Global Limited.
As part of PAHAL, IPE Global is providing technical support to the SAMRIDH Initiative.
Sustainable Access to Markets and Resources for Innovative Delivery of Healthcare (SAMRIDH) is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is managed by IPE Global.
Through this initiative, SAMRIDH combines private/commercial capital (debt and equity) with public and philanthropic funds to drive greater resources towards market-based health solutions that can improve access to affordable and quality healthcare services for Indias most vulnerable.
SAMRIDH has mobilized a capital pool of USD 300 million to offer both grant and debt financing provision to healthcare enterprises and innovators, to augment their capacity for production and supply of high impact health solutions.
This is complemented with a strong technical assistance and capacity building component, enabling enterprises to unlock new sources of capital through blended financing solutions, for long-term sustainability and expansion.
This position will closely work with the Lead Blended Finance and work in coordination with the team to support multiple activities.
Your role will include:.
Deal Sourcing: Identify private sector enterprises in health sectors and identify their financial risks and challenges.
Assess the identified enterprises from financial and commercial aspects by undertaking necessary due diligence.
Financial Structuring: Assess and structure suitable financial structures (blended finance mechanisms and outcome-based financing) ensuring alignment of interest of enterprises and financial institutions involved.
Design and implement various blended finance instruments with various financial institutions.
Partnerships: Assist the team in forging partnerships with financial institutions (equity and debt funders) and assess potential collaboration areas.
Work with various financial institutions to design effective blended finance instruments.
Establish and develop a strong relationship with all potential organizations viz Healthcare Incubators, Impact Investment Funds, PE/VC Firms, Central & State Govt sponsored incubators, SIDBI and MSME financing teams of Banks etc, Healthcare Development partners and aid agencies etc to identify potential areas of collaboration.
Fund-raising and business development: Assist the team in preparation of proposals for donor fund raising, support the negotiation, and deal closure.
Stakeholder & portfolio management: Assist the team managing existing stakeholders to effectively deliver on the organizations projects and assessing performance of the portfolio to ensure alignment with program goals.
Strategic initiatives: Assist senior leadership in building overall growth and development of the organization and support in preparation of relevant collaterals including concept notes and presentations.
Qualification & Skills Required:.
Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant fields (e g , Business, Economics, Finance, etc )At least 3 years of experience in consulting, investment management/banking sector, fund raising or business development.
Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working with banks/NBFCs.
Good communication (written and verbal), numeracy, presentation and analytical skills.
A team player who is a fast learner, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities, and able to work under pressure.
An entrepreneurial mindset and ability work in a fast-paced environment.
