Senior Consultant TL & Quality of Care & Environment Safeguards

• IPE Global is a leading organization dedicated to improving public health outcomes and promoting community-based healthcare initiatives
• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant to join our SRESTHA Gujarat team and contribute to our Quality of Care Environment Safeguards (QoC) Result Area (RA)
• As a Senior Consultant, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to implement Quality Improvements initiatives at the facility and community level

Key Responsibilities:

• To collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop program strategies, policies, and guidelines that align with the program objectives
• To provide technical assistance and to monitor the achievement of the Disbursement Linked Indicator (DLI)s under SRESTHA-G
• To provide the overarching administrative support to the Technical Support Unit team
• To ensure coordination with the IPE Global and Health and Family Welfare Department
• To maintain effective communication to disseminate information related to quality improvement initiatives for the healthcare facilities
• To assist and monitor assessments of existing healthcare facilities based on NABH (for Medical College Hospitals) and NQAS (for District Hospitals, Sub-District Hospitals, CHCs, PHCs and HWCs)
• To work with the state-level healthcare teams to develop and implement quality improvement strategies that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• To analyse healthcare outcomes, patient satisfaction, and other relevant metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
• To facilitate implementing the systems for continuous monitoring and evaluation of quality of care, ensuring timely identification of issues and prompt corrective actions
• To support the state in scaling up Community Action for Health initiatives to enhance community participation in developing healthcare policies at the District and State level
• To support the state in developing strategies for Biomedical waste management at healthcare facilities including liquid waste management in compliance with the Biomedical Waste Rules
• To facilitate operationalization of the First Referral Unit (FRU)
• To review updated research, innovations, and best practices in the field of Quality of Care and explore the feasibility of facilitating implementation
• Establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of program interventions and identify areas for improvement
• Contribute to research initiatives and participate in knowledge dissemination activities

Qualifications:

Essential:

• MBBS/BDS/Bachelors in any stream of AYUSH/bachelors in pharmacy/BSc
• Nursing degree from a recognised institute with post graduate degree/diploma (2-3 years regular full-time course) in Community Medicine, Public Health, Community Nursing, Hospital Management/Administration from a recognised institute
• At least 4-5 yearsexperience after post-graduation of working in Quality Assurance/Health System/Public Health
• Excellent communication skills writing and verbal
• Proficiency in MS Office package, any computerised data analytical package is highly desirable

Desirable:

• Preference may be given to those applicants, who have directly worked on the assignments, resulting into certification / accreditation of hospitals to a recognised quality system such as NQAS, LaQshya, ISO 9001/ NABH/ JCI/NABL etc and/or Certified External NQAS/Internal NQAS/NABH/NABL Assessors
• Recognised Qualification in a Quality System, which may be waived off in case of deserving candidates, who have robust field experiences
• Experience of working in hospital administration department of a certified facilities
