- Role Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive our sales and market expansion efforts in the telematics industry.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IoT/telematics sales and be passionate about business growth and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Telematics/IoT industry, including collaborations with government bodies, semi-government organizations, and private sectors.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to explore emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor dynamics to fuel expansion strategies.
- Develop and deliver customized proposals, impactful sales presentations, and strategic sales plans to convert opportunities into business.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, including government officials, corporate clients, and local bodies.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and resolution of issues promptly.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, industry conferences, and networking events to foster partnerships and brand visibility.
- Lead client meetings, prepare quotations, proposals, and process customer orders to drive conversions and sales.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets through client acquisition and retention.
- Monitor sales performance, identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue streams.
- Oversee the execution of client projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales GM, Customer Support, Dispatch, and Software to address client needs and deliver a seamless experience.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback for continuous improvement of services and products.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and - strategic directions for expansion.
- Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead of market changes and position the company as an industry leader.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- MBA in Sales & Marketing or a relevant field.
- Sales experience in the Telematics/IoT industry or a similar technology-focused sector.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage clients at all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English and Hindi; additional proficiency in South Indian languages is a plus.
- Results-driven with the ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Travel: Willingness to travel across India as required
