Cloud Solution Architect- - Healthcare & Medical Devices

Responsibilities:

• Lead the solution architecture and design for complex SaMD solutions, with a focus on connected medical devices, considering scalability, performance, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, MDR).
• Translate client needs into comprehensive technical solutions and leading the technical aspects of proposal development.
• Design robust and secure connectivity solutions for medical devices, including data acquisition, transmission, processing and storage in cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, conducting needs assessments, presenting technical solutions, and building strong client relationships.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Define and champion architectural best practices for SaMD development, including software design patterns, coding standards, testing methodologies, and cybersecurity considerations specific to connected devices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them through the entire software development lifecycle from design to deployment
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for SaMD development, including cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), embedded systems, and communication protocols, considering cost, performance, and maintainability.
• Ensure compliance with relevant medical device regulations and standards throughout the software development lifecycle, including those related to data privacy and security for connected devices.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in SaMD technologies, regulations, industry trends, cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), and connected medical device technologies.

Required Skills/Experiences:

• 12+ years of total IT experience
• 5+ years of experience with architecture, design and development SaMD solutions for large Medical Device Manufacturers
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), including designing and deploying secure and scalable solutions using cloud native and micro services architecture.
• Experience in developing applications in Java or .Net
• Experience with connected medical devices and hardware/software interaction, including communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular) and data acquisition from embedded systems.
• Good understanding of SaMD regulations and guidance documents (e.g., FDA SaMD Guidance, IMDRF).
• Strong proficiency in software architecture patterns and design principles.
• Proven experience in client interaction, including needs assessment, solution presentation, and relationship building.
• Experience in developing technical proposals and contributing to successful bid submissions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams, including providing constructive feedback and fostering team growth.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
