Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

1. Reconciliation Activities:
• Perform monthly/quarterly financial reconciliation with marketplace partners for sales, commissions, penalties, returns, and other charges.
• Reconcile marketplace payouts against sales and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Verify compliance with agreed terms (e.g., discounts, GST deductions, promotional funding).
2. Issue Resolution:
• Identify and investigate discrepancies in reconciliation reports and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to resolve them.
• Escalate unresolved issues and track them until closure.
3. Data Management:
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of transactions, reconciliations, and correspondence with marketplace partners.
• Ensure data integrity in financial reports and ERP systems.
4. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Finance, Accounting, and Sales teams to ensure seamless coordination.
• Liaise with marketplace partners to address reconciliation gaps and ensure timely settlements.
5. Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to enhance reconciliation processes and recommend solutions.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
6. Reporting:
• Generate reconciliation status reports and dashboards for management.
• Provide insights and trends to assist in strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Education:
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
2. Experience:
• 25 years of experience in financial reconciliation, preferably in e-commerce or retail marketplaces.
• Hands-on experience with reconciliation tools, ERP systems, or accounting software.
3. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and financial reporting tools.
• Familiarity with GST compliance and tax deduction norms in marketplaces.
4. Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
5. Preferred:
• Experience working with marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Lifestyle, etc.
• Knowledge of marketplace commission structures, penalty mechanisms, and promotional activities.
