Job Description
- Provide database technical support (24X7 support)Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Monitor routine database backups and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with the senior database administration team for any escalations
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support for database-related issues
- Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database administration
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with database management systems such as Db2, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
- Basic understanding of SQL queries and database concepts
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a technical support or IT role is preferred but not required
